Following the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the computer. Some of these are listed below.

A way to erase µTorrent using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

µTorrent is a program marketed by the software company BitTorrent Inc.. Sometimes, computer users choose to erase this program. This is easier said than done because uninstalling this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to Windows internal functioning. One of the best EASY procedure to erase µTorrent is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general tool to clean your PC.

• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate µTorrent or simply click the Search field and type in "µTorrent". If it exists on your system the µTorrent application will be found very quickly. After you click µTorrent in the list of programs, some information about the program is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have about µTorrent, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the app you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for µTorrent:

• The web site of the application is: http://www.utorrent.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove µTorrent.


8. After removing µTorrent, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of µTorrent which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling µTorrent with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
