If you are manually uninstalling µTorrent we advise you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\uTorrent

Registry values that are not removed from your computer:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe

How to delete µTorrent from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

µTorrent is an application offered by the software company BitTorrent Inc.. Some computer users decide to erase it. This is difficult because removing this by hand requires some know-how related to Windows program uninstallation. The best SIMPLE manner to erase µTorrent is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around tool to clean your computer.

• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to admire the program's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the applications installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find µTorrent or simply activate the Search field and type in "µTorrent". If it is installed on your PC the µTorrent program will be found very quickly. After you click µTorrent in the list , the following information about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about µTorrent, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the app you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for µTorrent:

• The software company is: http://www.utorrent.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove µTorrent.


8. After removing µTorrent, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of µTorrent which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing µTorrent with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
