When planning to uninstall AVG 2014 you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

The files below remain on your disk by AVG 2014 when you uninstall it:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\AVG2014\avgui.exe
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\AVG\AVG 2014.lnk
• C:\Users\%user%\Desktop\AVG 2014.lnk

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.avgfv
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{660E1DFA-2E19-4C53-8EE1-F093E2A1E37F}
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AVG

Use regedit.exe to remove the following additional registry values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.avgdi\shell\AvgDxOpenVerb\command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.avgdx\shell\AvgDxOpenVerb\command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\avgfilevault\DefaultIcon\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\avgfilevault\Shell\open\command\

A way to delete AVG 2014 from your PC with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding AVG 2014, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall AVG 2014.


8. After uninstalling AVG 2014, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of AVG 2014 that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing AVG 2014 with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
