A guide to uninstall AVG from your system

AVG is a Windows application. Read more about how to remove it from your computer. It is made by AVG Technologies. You can read more on AVG Technologies or check for application updates here. Usually the AVG program is installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Setup folder, depending on the user's option during setup. You can uninstall AVG by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Setup\avgsetupx.exe /mode=offline /uninstall=zen. Keep in mind that you might be prompted for admin rights. AVG's main file takes about 688.00 KB (704512 bytes) and is named avgntdumpx.exe.

The following executable files are incorporated in AVG. They occupy 6.51 MB (6823000 bytes) on disk.

If you are manually uninstalling AVG we advise you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AvgZen

A way to remove AVG using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AVG is a program marketed by the software company AVG Technologies. Some people want to erase this application. This is difficult because performing this manually takes some know-how regarding PCs. The best QUICK way to erase AVG is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and general tool to clean your system.

• go to Download Link
• download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful Windows optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find AVG or simply click the Search feature and type in "AVG". The AVG app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select AVG in the list of programs, some data regarding the program is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding AVG, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove AVG.


8. After uninstalling AVG, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong AVG which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing AVG using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
