How to uninstall AVG from your computer

Numerous files, folders and registry data can not be deleted when you want to remove AVG from your PC.

The files below are left behind on your disk when you remove AVG:

• C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG2015\avgscanx.exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AvgZen

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

How to remove AVG from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AVG is an application marketed by AVG Technologies. Sometimes, people choose to erase this application. 3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find AVG or simply click the Search feature and type in "AVG". If it exists on your system the AVG program will be found automatically. After you select AVG in the list of programs, some data regarding the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding AVG, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the app you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove AVG.


8. After uninstalling AVG, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of AVG that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing AVG using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
