After the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the PC. Some of these are shown below.

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall AVG:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Framework\Common\avguix.exe

How to remove AVG from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AVG is an application by the software company AVG Technologies. Sometimes, users want to remove this program. Sometimes this can be efortful because deleting this by hand requires some knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best EASY procedure to remove AVG is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your system.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the programs installed on your PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find AVG or simply click the Search feature and type in "AVG". If it is installed on your PC the AVG app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select AVG in the list , the following data about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other people have about AVG, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. accept the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove AVG.


8. After removing AVG, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong AVG that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling AVG with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
