How to uninstall AVG from your system

You can find below detailed information on how to uninstall AVG for Windows. It was coded for Windows by AVG Technologies. You can read more on AVG Technologies or check for application updates here. The application is usually placed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Setup directory (same installation drive as Windows). You can uninstall AVG by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Setup\avgsetupx.exe /mode=offline /uninstall=zen. Keep in mind that you might get a notification for admin rights. avgntdumpx.exe is the AVG's main executable file and it occupies approximately 800.41 KB (819624 bytes) on disk.

A way to erase AVG with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

AVG is an application offered by AVG Technologies. Sometimes, users want to remove this application. 3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the programs existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate AVG or simply click the Search feature and type in "AVG". If it is installed on your PC the AVG application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click AVG in the list of applications, some data regarding the program is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding AVG, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the application you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall AVG.


8. After uninstalling AVG, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong AVG that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
