Some files and registry entries are regularly left behind when you remove App Explorer.

The files below remain on your disk by App Explorer's application uninstaller when you removed it:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Host App Service\IconCache\persistent\App Explorer.ico
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Temp\App Explorer-2025-02-19.log
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Temp\App Explorer-2025-02-20.log

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Host App Service


A way to delete App Explorer from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

App Explorer is an application by the software company SweetLabs. Some users choose to remove it. 5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find App Explorer or simply activate the Search field and type in "App Explorer". If it is installed on your PC the App Explorer app will be found automatically. Notice that when you click App Explorer in the list of programs, some information regarding the application is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding App Explorer, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the app you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall App Explorer.

8. After removing App Explorer, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong App Explorer that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
