How to erase ArcGIS Desktop with Advanced Uninstaller PRO
ArcGIS Desktop is a program marketed by Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc.. Sometimes, users decide to erase this program. Sometimes this can be efortful because deleting this manually takes some skill related to PCs. One of the best EASY practice to erase ArcGIS Desktop is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:
1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and general utility to take care of your PC.

- download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
- set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.
3. Click on the General Tools category
4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool
5. A list of the applications installed on your PC will be made available to you
6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate ArcGIS Desktop or simply click the Search field and type in "ArcGIS Desktop". The ArcGIS Desktop program will be found very quickly. Notice that when you click ArcGIS Desktop in the list of applications, some data about the program is shown to you:
- Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about ArcGIS Desktop, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
- Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
- Details about the application you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.
For instance you can see that for ArcGIS Desktop:

- The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Support\Setup.exe
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall ArcGIS Desktop.
8. After uninstalling ArcGIS Desktop, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of ArcGIS Desktop that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling ArcGIS Desktop using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.
Your computer will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
