A way to delete ArcGIS Desktop from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

ArcGIS Desktop is an application offered by the software company Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc.. Some people choose to remove this application. This is hard because deleting this by hand takes some advanced knowledge regarding PCs. The best EASY approach to remove ArcGIS Desktop is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general tool to optimize your PC.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire the program's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find ArcGIS Desktop or simply activate the Search feature and type in "ArcGIS Desktop". If it exists on your system the ArcGIS Desktop program will be found automatically. After you click ArcGIS Desktop in the list , the following data regarding the program is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding ArcGIS Desktop, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the app you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for ArcGIS Desktop:

• The software company is: http://www.esri.com
• The uninstall string is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Support\Setup.exe"

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove ArcGIS Desktop.


8. After removing ArcGIS Desktop, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of ArcGIS Desktop that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling ArcGIS Desktop with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to serve you properly.
