A way to uninstall BOINC from your system

Berkeley. You can read more about related to BOINC at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/. BOINC is typically installed in the C:\Program Files\BOINC directory, but this location may vary a lot depending on the user's decision while installing the application. You can remove BOINC by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line MsiExec.exe /X{B350DF20-CD25-4793-A1F9-2461F6F699FF}. Note that you might be prompted for administrator rights. The program's main executable file occupies 5.64 MB (5917536 bytes) on disk and is labeled boinc.exe.

How to remove BOINC from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

BOINC is a program by the software company Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley. Sometimes, users decide to uninstall it. Sometimes this is difficult because removing this manually takes some experience regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best SIMPLE procedure to uninstall BOINC is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and general utility to take care of your PC.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system utility.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find BOINC or simply activate the Search field and type in "BOINC". If it exists on your system the BOINC program will be found very quickly. After you select BOINC in the list of apps, the following data about the application is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about BOINC, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

• The uninstall string is: MsiExec.exe /X{B350DF20-CD25-4793-A1F9-2461F6F699FF}

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove BOINC.


8. After uninstalling BOINC, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong BOINC which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing BOINC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and able to serve you properly.
