Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/x-bittorrent
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BitTorrent
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\BitTorrent

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.btsearch\OpenWithProgids\BitTorrent

How to remove BitTorrent using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

BitTorrent is a program offered by BitTorrent Inc.. Sometimes, users want to erase this program. This is troublesome because performing this by hand requires some experience regarding PCs. The best QUICK procedure to erase BitTorrent is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general utility to clean your Windows PC.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good Windows tool.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find BitTorrent or simply activate the Search field and type in "BitTorrent". The BitTorrent app will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select BitTorrent in the list , some information about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about BitTorrent, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for BitTorrent:

• The publisher is: http://www.bittorrent.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\BitTorrent\BitTorrent.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove BitTorrent.


8. After uninstalling BitTorrent, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong BitTorrent which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling BitTorrent with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your system.
