Keep in mind that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you may be prompted for administrator rights. The program's main executable file has a size of 8.54 MB (8959632 bytes) on disk and is labeled cmake.exe.

CMake is composed of the following executables which take 46.70 MB (48969936 bytes) on disk:

  • cmake-gui.exe (19.36 MB)
  • cmake.exe (8.54 MB)
  • cmcldeps.exe (1.04 MB)
  • cpack.exe (8.54 MB)
  • ctest.exe (9.22 MB)

How to remove CMake from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program released by the software company Kitware. Frequently, people try to remove this program. 2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's interface and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the programs installed on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate CMake or simply activate the Search field and type in "CMake". If it exists on your system the CMake application will be found automatically. When you select CMake in the list of apps, the following information about the application is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about CMake, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall CMake.

8. After uninstalling CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong CMake which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing CMake with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
