How to uninstall DFX from your PC

If you are manually uninstalling DFX we advise you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall DFX:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX

Usually, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\DFX.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\uninstall.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\Universal\Apps\CABARC.EXE
• C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\Universal\Apps\dfxItunesSong.exe

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\DFX

Registry values that are not removed from your computer:

A way to erase DFX with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

DFX is an application by the software company Power Technology. Frequently, computer users decide to erase it. 6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate DFX or simply activate the Search feature and type in "DFX". The DFX program will be found automatically. Notice that after you select DFX in the list of apps, the following data regarding the application is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding DFX, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for DFX:

• The software company is: http://www.fxsound.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\DFX\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove DFX.


8. After uninstalling DFX, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong DFX that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling DFX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.
