A way to uninstall Discord from your system

When planning to uninstall Discord you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall Discord:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Discord Inc

The files below are left behind on your disk by Discord when you uninstall it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\New Technology Studio\Apps\OpenIV\Resources\Graphics\UI\Images\CommunityUI\discord.png
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\150\com_squirrel_Discord_Discord
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Discord Inc\Discord.lnk

Generally the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Discord
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Discord
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Discord
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\RADAR\HeapLeakDetection\DiagnosedApplications\Discord.exe

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Discord\Update.exe.ApplicationCompany
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Discord\Update.exe.FriendlyAppName

How to uninstall Discord using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Discord is an application offered by Discord Inc.. Some people choose to remove it. This can be easier said than done because uninstalling this by hand takes some advanced knowledge related to Windows program uninstallation. 3. Press the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications existing on your computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Discord or simply click the Search feature and type in "Discord". The Discord application will be found automatically. After you select Discord in the list of applications, some information regarding the application is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding Discord, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Discord.
