How to uninstall DivX Player using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

DivX Player is an application by DivX, Inc.. Sometimes, users decide to remove this application. This is efortful because removing this by hand takes some skill related to Windows internal functioning. One of the best SIMPLE action to remove DivX Player is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around utility to maximize the performance of your Windows PC.

  • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful Windows tool.

3. Press the General Tools button

5. A list of the programs installed on the computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate DivX Player or simply activate the Search feature and type in "DivX Player". If it is installed on your PC the DivX Player app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select DivX Player in the list of programs, some information about the application is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about DivX Player, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove DivX Player.

8. After uninstalling DivX Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of DivX Player which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them.
