A guide to uninstall F-Secure from your system

F-Secure is a Windows application. Read more about how to remove it from your PC. The Windows version was created by F-Secure Corporation. You can find out more on F-Secure Corporation or check for application updates here. F-Secure is typically installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\Internet Security folder, subject to the user's option. The full command line for removing F-Secure is C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\Internet Security\\fsuninstall.exe. Keep in mind that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you may get a notification for admin rights. trigger.exe is the F-Secure's primary executable file and it occupies circa 144.04 KB (147496 bytes) on disk.

Some files and registry entries are regularly left behind when you remove F-Secure.

Directories left on disk:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\F-Secure

The files below are left behind on your disk by F-Secure's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\apps\ComputerSecurity\Common\fpshx.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\apps\ComputerSecurity\Common\fslapi64.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\apps\ComputerSecurity\Common\FSLAUNCHER0.EXE
• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\apps\ComputerSecurity\Common\FSMA_64.DLL

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\F-Secure
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\F-Secure

Supplementary values that are not removed:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application\FSecure-FSecure-F-Secure Anti-Virus\EventMessageFile
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\F-Secure HIPS\ImagePath

A way to erase F-Secure from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

F-Secure is a program by the software company F-Secure Corporation. Sometimes, computer users choose to remove it. Sometimes this can be efortful because removing this by hand takes some skill regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best QUICK procedure to remove F-Secure is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general tool to take care of your Windows PC.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find F-Secure or simply activate the Search feature and type in "F-Secure". The F-Secure app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click F-Secure in the list of programs, some data about the program is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other users have about F-Secure, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the program you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove F-Secure.


8. After uninstalling F-Secure, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong F-Secure that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling F-Secure using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
