How to uninstall F-Secure from your PC

F-Secure has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Folders that were found:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\F-Secure

The files below remain on your disk by F-Secure's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\trigger.exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\F-Secure
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\F-Secure

A way to uninstall F-Secure from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

F-Secure is an application released by the software company F-Secure Corporation. Some users choose to remove this program. Sometimes this can be efortful because doing this manually requires some experience related to Windows program uninstallation. The best SIMPLE procedure to remove F-Secure is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general tool to clean your Windows computer.

• download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's interface and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs installed on your PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find F-Secure or simply click the Search field and type in "F-Secure". The F-Secure program will be found automatically. After you select F-Secure in the list of applications, some information about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have about F-Secure, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the app you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall F-Secure.


8. After uninstalling F-Secure, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong F-Secure that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling F-Secure with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your Windows PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to serve you properly.
