A guide to uninstall Freeplane from your PC

Freeplane is a Windows application. Read below about how to remove it from your computer. The Windows version was created by Open source. Open here for more info on Open source. Please open http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeplane/ if you want to read more on Freeplane on Open source's page. Usually the Freeplane application is installed in the C:\Program Files\Freeplane folder, depending on the user's option during setup. The full uninstall command line for Freeplane is C:\Program Files\Freeplane\unins000.exe. Freeplane's main file takes about 78.00 KB (79872 bytes) and is called freeplane.exe.

Freeplane is composed of the following executables which take 1.25 MB (1313489 bytes) on disk:

• freeplane.exe (78.00 KB)
• freeplaneConsole.exe (25.00 KB)
• unins000.exe (1.15 MB)

How to uninstall Freeplane from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Freeplane is an application by Open source. Some computer users want to remove this application. Sometimes this is hard because deleting this manually takes some knowledge related to Windows internal functioning. The best EASY way to remove Freeplane is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general tool to optimize your Windows PC.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs existing on your computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Freeplane or simply click the Search field and type in "Freeplane". If it is installed on your PC the Freeplane app will be found automatically. Notice that when you click Freeplane in the list of programs, some data about the application is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other people have about Freeplane, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the program you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Freeplane:

• The web site of the program is: http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeplane/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Freeplane\unins000.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Freeplane.


8. After uninstalling Freeplane, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Freeplane which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Freeplane with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
