How to uninstall GOM Player from your PC

Quite a few files, folders and registry data can not be uninstalled when you want to remove GOM Player from your computer.

Generally, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\GOM Player.lnk

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DVD\shell\Play with GOM Player
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\vit_ytd_gom_player_RASAPI32
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\vit_ytd_gom_player_RASMANCS
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\GOM Player

Additional values that you should remove:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\GOM.EXE

A way to uninstall GOM Player from your computer with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GOM Player is a program offered by the software company Gretech Corporation. Frequently, users choose to remove this application. 3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate GOM Player or simply click the Search feature and type in "GOM Player". The GOM Player program will be found automatically. After you select GOM Player in the list of apps, some data about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about GOM Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for GOM Player:

• The software company is: http://player.gomlab.com/eng/support/supportcenter/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\Uninstall.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove GOM Player.


8. After removing GOM Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of GOM Player which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling GOM Player using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
