A guide to uninstall GOM Player from your system

GOM Player is a Windows program. Some files and registry entries are usually left behind when you remove GOM Player.

The files below were left behind on your disk when you remove GOM Player:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\GOM Player.lnk
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\GOM Player.lnk

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DVD\shell\Play with GOM Player
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\GOM Player

Supplementary registry values that are not cleaned:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\GOM.EXE.ApplicationCompany

A way to erase GOM Player using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GOM Player is an application offered by Gretech Corporation. Some computer users try to erase this application. Sometimes this is troublesome because removing this manually takes some experience regarding removing Windows programs manually. One of the best SIMPLE solution to erase GOM Player is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to maximize the performance of your Windows PC.

• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with the program's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on your computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find GOM Player or simply activate the Search feature and type in "GOM Player". If it is installed on your PC the GOM Player program will be found very quickly. After you click GOM Player in the list of apps, some data about the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other users have about GOM Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for GOM Player:

• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\GRETECH\GomPlayer\Uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove GOM Player.


8. After uninstalling GOM Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of GOM Player which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling GOM Player using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
