A guide to uninstall GOM Player from your PC

Some files and registry entries are typically left behind when you remove GOM Player.

Directories that were left behind:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer

The files below are left behind on your disk when you remove GOM Player:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\avcodec.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\avcodec-gp-55.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\avformat-gp-55.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GomPlayer\avutil.dll

Frequently the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.3gp
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.asf
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.asx
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.avi

Open regedit.exe to delete the values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\avis\DefaultIcon\

How to erase GOM Player from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GOM Player is a program marketed by the software company Gretech Corporation. Some users choose to remove it. Sometimes this can be difficult because uninstalling this by hand requires some skill related to removing Windows applications by hand. The best SIMPLE way to remove GOM Player is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around tool to clean your Windows PC.

• download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs existing on your computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find GOM Player or simply activate the Search field and type in "GOM Player". If it exists on your system the GOM Player application will be found automatically. Notice that after you select GOM Player in the list of apps, some data about the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about GOM Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall GOM Player.


8. After uninstalling GOM Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of GOM Player that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling GOM Player with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
