Following the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Some of these are shown below.

Generally, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\GOM Player.lnk
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\GOM Player.lnk

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DVD\shell\Play with GOM Player
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\GOM Player

Open regedit.exe to remove the registry values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\GOM\GOMPlayer\GOM.exe.ApplicationCompany
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\GOM\GOMPlayer\GOM.exe.FriendlyAppName

A way to delete GOM Player from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GOM Player is an application released by the software company GOM & Company. Frequently, users choose to uninstall this application. 5. All the applications existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate GOM Player or simply click the Search field and type in "GOM Player". If it is installed on your PC the GOM Player app will be found automatically. When you click GOM Player in the list of applications, some data about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about GOM Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for GOM Player:

• The software company is: http://player.gomlab.com/eng/support/supportcenter/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOM\GOMPlayer\Uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove GOM Player.


8. After uninstalling GOM Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong GOM Player which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling GOM Player with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
