When you're planning to uninstall GOM Player you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

The files below remain on your disk by GOM Player when you uninstall it:

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DVD\shell\Play with GOM Player
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\GOM Player

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\e:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GOMPlayer\GOM.exe.ApplicationCompany
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\e:\Program Files (x86)\GRETECH\GOMPlayer\GOM.exe.FriendlyAppName

A way to remove GOM Player with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GOM Player is an application offered by GOM & Company. Some users try to uninstall this program. This can be hard because removing this manually requires some knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. The best QUICK manner to uninstall GOM Player is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the programs existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find GOM Player or simply click the Search field and type in "GOM Player". The GOM Player app will be found very quickly. After you select GOM Player in the list of programs, some data about the program is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about GOM Player, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the app you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for GOM Player:

• The software company is: https://www.gomplayer.jp/player/inquiry/player.html
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOM\GOMPlayer\Uninstall.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall GOM Player.


8. After removing GOM Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong GOM Player which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing GOM Player using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.
