A guide to uninstall GeoGebra from your computer

GeoGebra is a Windows program. Read more about how to remove it from your PC. The Windows version was developed by International GeoGebra Institute. More information on International GeoGebra Institute can be found here. More info about the app GeoGebra can be found at http://www.geogebra.org/. GeoGebra is usually set up in the C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoGebra directory, but this location can differ a lot depending on the user's option when installing the application. C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoGebra\uninstaller.exe is the full command line if you want to uninstall GeoGebra. geogebra.exe is the GeoGebra's main executable file and it occupies around 173.15 KB (177304 bytes) on disk.

The executable files below are installed alongside GeoGebra. They take about 526.58 KB (539216 bytes) on disk.

GeoGebra has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall GeoGebra:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoGebra\geogebra.exe

Registry keys:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\geogebra
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\GeoGebra

Supplementary registry values that are not cleaned:

A way to delete GeoGebra using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GeoGebra is an application by International GeoGebra Institute. Sometimes, computer users choose to remove it. Sometimes this can be troublesome because doing this manually requires some skill regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best SIMPLE practice to remove GeoGebra is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general utility to clean your Windows PC.

• go to Download Link
• download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate GeoGebra or simply click the Search field and type in "GeoGebra". If it exists on your system the GeoGebra program will be found automatically. When you select GeoGebra in the list of programs, some information about the application is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about GeoGebra, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for GeoGebra:

• The software company is: http://www.geogebra.org/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoGebra\uninstaller.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove GeoGebra.


8. After removing GeoGebra, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of GeoGebra that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling GeoGebra using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
