Frequently the following registry data will not be uninstalled:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Chrome
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\StartMenuInternet\Google Chrome
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Google Chrome

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following registry values:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ChromeHTML\DefaultIcon\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ChromeHTML\shell\open\command\
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Google Chrome\DisplayIcon
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Google Chrome\DisplayName


A way to uninstall Google Chrome with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Google Chrome is a program offered by the software company Google Inc.. Sometimes, people decide to remove this application. 2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire the program's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the applications installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Google Chrome or simply click the Search field and type in "Google Chrome". The Google Chrome program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Google Chrome in the list of programs, some data regarding the application is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding Google Chrome, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the app you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Google Chrome.

8. After removing Google Chrome, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Google Chrome which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
