Following the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Part_A few of these are listed below.

The files below are left behind on your disk by HP Support Assistant's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Windows\Installer\{E959FD01-BD01-4CC4-9BB8-4EBE8309BF37}\ARPPRODUCTICON.exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\10DF959E10DB4CC4B98BE4EB3890FB73
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{E959FD01-BD01-4CC4-9BB8-4EBE8309BF37}

Open regedit.exe to delete the values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\10DF959E10DB4CC4B98BE4EB3890FB73\ProductName

A way to delete HP Support Assistant from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

HP Support Assistant is a program offered by the software company HP. Some users choose to remove it. This can be efortful because removing this by hand takes some skill related to PCs. One of the best QUICK procedure to remove HP Support Assistant is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs existing on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate HP Support Assistant or simply activate the Search field and type in "HP Support Assistant". The HP Support Assistant application will be found very quickly. When you click HP Support Assistant in the list of applications, the following information about the program is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have about HP Support Assistant, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove HP Support Assistant.


8. After uninstalling HP Support Assistant, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of HP Support Assistant that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing HP Support Assistant with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.
