How to uninstall KDE Connect from your computer

If you are manually uninstalling KDE Connect we recommend you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Usually the following registry keys will not be uninstalled:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\KDE Connect

A way to erase KDE Connect using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

KDE Connect is an application by the software company KDE e.V.. Frequently, computer users decide to uninstall this application. Sometimes this can be easier said than done because uninstalling this by hand requires some knowledge regarding PCs. One of the best SIMPLE practice to uninstall KDE Connect is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general tool to optimize your Windows computer.

• download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good Windows optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate KDE Connect or simply click the Search feature and type in "KDE Connect". If it is installed on your PC the KDE Connect program will be found automatically. After you select KDE Connect in the list of apps, some information regarding the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding KDE Connect, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for KDE Connect:

• The publisher is: https://community.kde.org/Craft
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\KDE Connect\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall KDE Connect.


8. After removing KDE Connect, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of KDE Connect that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling KDE Connect with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
