How to uninstall Kate from your PC

Kate is a computer program. How to uninstall Kate from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Kate is a program by KDE e.V.. Sometimes, users try to remove it. This can be easier said than done because removing this manually requires some experience related to PCs. One of the best QUICK procedure to remove Kate is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to optimize your Windows system.

  • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's design and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the applications installed on the computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate Kate or simply activate the Search field and type in "Kate". If it exists on your system the Kate app will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Kate in the list of programs, some information about the program is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about Kate, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Kate.

8. After uninstalling Kate, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong Kate that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Kate using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
