A way to uninstall Kate using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Kate is a program offered by the software company KDE e.V.. Sometimes, computer users choose to uninstall it. This can be troublesome because uninstalling this manually takes some skill related to Windows program uninstallation. One of the best SIMPLE practice to uninstall Kate is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:

3. Click on the General Tools button

5. All the applications existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate Kate or simply click the Search feature and type in "Kate". If it exists on your system the Kate program will be found very quickly. After you select Kate in the list of applications, the following data about the application is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have about Kate, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the app you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Kate.

8. After removing Kate, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Kate that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
