How to uninstall Kobo from your PC

Kobo is a Windows application. If you are manually uninstalling Kobo we suggest you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Directories that were found:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Kobo
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Kobo

The files below were left behind on your disk when you remove Kobo:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Kobo\crypto\qca-ossl2.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Kobo\drivers\amd64\libusb0.dll
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Kobo\drivers\amd64\libusb0.sys
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Kobo\drivers\dpinst32.exe

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Kobo
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Kobo

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\koboacer\DefaultIcon\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\koboacer\shell\open\command\
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Kobo\DisplayIcon
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Kobo\DisplayName
