How to uninstall LiveUpdate from your PC

LiveUpdate is a Windows application. LiveUpdate has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Folders left behind when you uninstall LiveUpdate:

• C:\Program Files\ASUS\LiveUpdate
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ASUS\LiveUpdate

Usually, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\Program Files\ASUS\LiveUpdate\ASUSLiveUpdateDownload.exe
• C:\Program Files\ASUS\LiveUpdate\Audio.dll
• C:\Program Files\ASUS\LiveUpdate\ClientSocket.dll
• C:\Program Files\ASUS\LiveUpdate\Enumeration.dll

Registry keys:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ASUS\LiveUpdate

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:

How to remove LiveUpdate from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

LiveUpdate is an application offered by ASUSTeK Computer Inc.. Some users choose to uninstall it. This is difficult because doing this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to removing Windows programs manually. One of the best EASY procedure to uninstall LiveUpdate is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general utility to maximize the performance of your Windows computer.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good Windows optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs installed on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find LiveUpdate or simply click the Search feature and type in "LiveUpdate". If it exists on your system the LiveUpdate program will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click LiveUpdate in the list , the following data about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about LiveUpdate, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the app you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for LiveUpdate:

• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{D03557FD-202C-43BD-940E-0602AD7ECEF6}\setup.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall LiveUpdate.


8. After uninstalling LiveUpdate, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong LiveUpdate that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling LiveUpdate using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
