How to uninstall Maxthon from your computer

Keep in mind that you might receive a notification for admin rights. Maxthon.exe is the programs's main file and it takes close to 3.39 MB (3549472 bytes) on disk.

How to erase Maxthon using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Maxthon is a program marketed by The Maxthon Authors. Sometimes, people want to erase this application. Sometimes this is difficult because doing this manually requires some knowledge regarding Windows program uninstallation. The best QUICK manner to erase Maxthon is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to admire the program's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful program.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool

5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Maxthon or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Maxthon". The Maxthon application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click Maxthon in the list of programs, the following information regarding the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding Maxthon, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Maxthon.

8. After removing Maxthon, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong Maxthon which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Maxthon with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.
