How to uninstall Maxthon from your computer

This web page is about Maxthon for Windows. Take into account that this location can differ depending on the user's preference. You can uninstall Maxthon by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Maxthon\7.2.2.4200\Installer\setup.exe. Note that you might be prompted for admin rights. Maxthon's main file takes about 3.61 MB (3790440 bytes) and is named Maxthon.exe.

A way to erase Maxthon from your computer with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Maxthon is a program released by The Maxthon Authors. Sometimes, users try to uninstall it. This is easier said than done because uninstalling this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. The best EASY manner to uninstall Maxthon is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your system.

  • download the program by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the applications installed on your PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate Maxthon or simply click the Search feature and type in "Maxthon". If it exists on your system the Maxthon application will be found automatically. Notice that when you select Maxthon in the list of applications, some information regarding the application is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other people have regarding Maxthon, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the application you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Maxthon.

8. After removing Maxthon, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Maxthon which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Maxthon with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
