How to uninstall Maxthon from your PC

This page is about Maxthon for Windows. Below you can find details on how to uninstall it from your PC. The Windows version was developed by The Maxthon Authors. More information on The Maxthon Authors can be found here. Usually the Maxthon application is placed in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Maxthon folder, depending on the user's option during install. The full uninstall command line for Maxthon is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Maxthon\7.2.2.6600\Installer\setup.exe. Maxthon.exe is the programs's main file and it takes close to 3.58 MB (3754088 bytes) on disk.

The executable files below are installed together with Maxthon. They take about 25.07 MB (26284144 bytes) on disk.

How to remove Maxthon using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Maxthon is an application released by The Maxthon Authors. Some people try to remove it. Sometimes this is easier said than done because deleting this by hand takes some knowledge related to removing Windows programs manually. One of the best QUICK manner to remove Maxthon is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general tool to maximize the performance of your PC.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the program by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the applications installed on the computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate Maxthon or simply activate the Search field and type in "Maxthon". The Maxthon program will be found automatically. Notice that when you select Maxthon in the list of apps, some data regarding the application is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding Maxthon, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Maxthon.


8. After uninstalling Maxthon, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Maxthon that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Maxthon with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your PC.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
