A guide to uninstall Maxthon from your PC

Maxthon is a software application. This page holds details on how to remove it from your PC. It is written by The Maxthon Authors. More info about The Maxthon Authors can be seen here. The application is often located in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Maxthon\Application directory (same installation drive as Windows). The full uninstall command line for Maxthon is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Maxthon\Application\7.1.7.8100\Installer\setup.exe. Maxthon.exe is the Maxthon's primary executable file and it takes circa 3.50 MB (3665696 bytes) on disk.

How to uninstall Maxthon with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Maxthon is a program marketed by The Maxthon Authors. Some computer users choose to uninstall it. Sometimes this can be easier said than done because deleting this by hand requires some knowledge related to Windows program uninstallation. The best EASY practice to uninstall Maxthon is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:

• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system utility.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the applications existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate Maxthon or simply click the Search field and type in "Maxthon". The Maxthon application will be found very quickly. Notice that when you click Maxthon in the list of applications, some information about the application is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about Maxthon, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Maxthon.


8. After removing Maxthon, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Maxthon which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Maxthon using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
