How to uninstall Maxthon from your computer

Keep in mind that you might be prompted for administrator rights. Maxthon.exe is the Maxthon's main executable file and it occupies around 3.32 MB (3478632 bytes) on disk.

A way to remove Maxthon from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Maxthon is a program offered by the software company The Maxthon Authors. Sometimes, users decide to remove this program. This can be hard because removing this by hand takes some know-how regarding removing Windows programs manually. One of the best EASY solution to remove Maxthon is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to optimize your Windows system.

  • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with the program's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools category

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button

5. All the applications existing on your PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Maxthon or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Maxthon". The Maxthon program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Maxthon in the list of applications, some data regarding the application is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding Maxthon, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Maxthon.

8. After uninstalling Maxthon, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Maxthon that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Maxthon using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your computer.
