A guide to uninstall Pokki from your computer

This page contains complete information on how to remove Pokki for Windows. The Windows version was developed by Pokki. Open here for more info on Pokki. Usually the Pokki program is found in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Pokki folder, depending on the user's option during install. Pokki's entire uninstall command line is "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pokki\Uninstall.exe". HostAppService.exe is the Pokki's main executable file and it takes approximately 7.48 MB (7848264 bytes) on disk.

Following the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the PC. Some of these are shown below.

Directories left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Pokki

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall Pokki:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Pokki\analytics.db
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Pokki\Download Helper\npPokkiDownloadHelper.1.2.0.78.dll
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Pokki\Download Helper\PokkiDownloadHelper.exe
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Pokki\Engine\avcodec-54.dll

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFileSystemObjects\shell\pokki
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\pokki
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell\pokki
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile\shell\pokki

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following registry values:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Pokki\DisplayIcon
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Pokki\DisplayName
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Pokki\Publisher
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Pokki\UninstallString

A way to delete Pokki from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Pokki is a program offered by Pokki. Sometimes, users try to uninstall this program. 3. Press the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Pokki or simply click the Search field and type in "Pokki". The Pokki program will be found automatically. Notice that when you select Pokki in the list , some information regarding the application is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding Pokki, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Pokki.


8. After uninstalling Pokki, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Pokki that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Pokki using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your system.
