Proton VPN has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppUserModelId\Proton.VPN
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Proton VPN_is1
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Proton AG\Proton VPN

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following registry values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Proton\VPN\v3.2.10\ProtonDrive.Downloader.exe.ApplicationCompany
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Proton\VPN\v3.2.10\ProtonDrive.Downloader.exe.FriendlyAppName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ProtonVPN Service\ImagePath
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ProtonVPNCallout\ImagePath

A way to uninstall Proton VPN from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO
