How to uninstall QuickTime from your system

A considerable amount of files, folders and registry entries will not be uninstalled when you are trying to remove QuickTime from your computer.

Directories that were left behind:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\QuickTime

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall QuickTime:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\plug_ins\Multimedia\MPP\QuickTime.mpp
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\BackupScripts\quicktime_7.xml
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Seagate\BackupScripts\quicktime_7.xml

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

A way to delete QuickTime with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

QuickTime is an application by Apple Inc.. Sometimes, users try to erase it. Sometimes this is easier said than done because uninstalling this by hand takes some skill regarding PCs. One of the best QUICK action to erase QuickTime is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general utility to take care of your system.

• download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications installed on your computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate QuickTime or simply click the Search field and type in "QuickTime". If it is installed on your PC the QuickTime app will be found automatically. Notice that after you click QuickTime in the list of programs, some information about the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about QuickTime, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for QuickTime:

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall QuickTime.


8. After removing QuickTime, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of QuickTime which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing QuickTime using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
