How to uninstall Rufus from your computer

How to delete Rufus from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Rufus is an application marketed by the software company Akeo Consulting. Sometimes, computer users choose to erase it. This can be difficult because performing this manually requires some experience related to removing Windows programs manually. The best QUICK manner to erase Rufus is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your PC.

• download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with the program's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs installed on your computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Rufus or simply activate the Search field and type in "Rufus". If it exists on your system the Rufus application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click Rufus in the list of applications, the following data about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about Rufus, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Rufus:

• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Rufus\unins000.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Rufus.


8. After uninstalling Rufus, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of Rufus that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Rufus with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
