Following the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Some of these are shown below.

Folders found on disk after you uninstall Shotcut from your computer:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut

Generally, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut\db.sqlite3
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut\shotcut-log.txt

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Meltytech\Shotcut
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Shotcut
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Shotcut

Open regedit.exe to remove the registry values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-3318972834-3529387930-1214703865-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files\Shotcut\shotcut.exe

How to delete Shotcut from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Shotcut is a program offered by Meltytech, LLC. Some people decide to remove it. Sometimes this is hard because deleting this manually requires some know-how regarding PCs. One of the best QUICK practice to remove Shotcut is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:

• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Shotcut or simply click the Search field and type in "Shotcut". If it is installed on your PC the Shotcut application will be found very quickly. Notice that when you click Shotcut in the list , some information regarding the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Shotcut, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the application you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Shotcut.


8. After removing Shotcut, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Shotcut that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Shotcut using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
