A way to uninstall Shotcut from your PC

Keep in mind that you might be prompted for administrator rights. shotcut.exe is the Shotcut's primary executable file and it takes circa 3.45 MB (3612560 bytes) on disk.

If you are manually uninstalling Shotcut we suggest you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders remaining:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut

The files below were left behind on your disk by Shotcut's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut\db.sqlite3
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Meltytech\Shotcut\shotcut-log.txt

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Meltytech\Shotcut
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\RADAR\HeapLeakDetection\DiagnosedApplications\shotcut.exe

How to uninstall Shotcut from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Shotcut is a program released by the software company Meltytech, LLC. Some people want to uninstall this program. • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications existing on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Shotcut or simply activate the Search field and type in "Shotcut". The Shotcut program will be found very quickly. After you click Shotcut in the list of apps, the following information about the program is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have about Shotcut, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Shotcut.


8. After uninstalling Shotcut, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong Shotcut which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Shotcut with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
