How to uninstall SumatraPDF from your PC

A way to remove SumatraPDF from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

SumatraPDF is an application by the software company Krzysztof Kowalczyk. Sometimes, users decide to remove this program. Sometimes this is easier said than done because uninstalling this by hand requires some experience regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best QUICK practice to remove SumatraPDF is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to optimize your Windows system.

• download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire the program's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the applications installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate SumatraPDF or simply activate the Search field and type in "SumatraPDF". If it is installed on your PC the SumatraPDF application will be found automatically. Notice that after you select SumatraPDF in the list of programs, some data regarding the application is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding SumatraPDF, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the app you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for SumatraPDF:

• The web site of the program is: https://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\SumatraPDF\SumatraPDF.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall SumatraPDF.


8. After removing SumatraPDF, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of SumatraPDF which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing SumatraPDF with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.
