A guide to uninstall Tailscale from your PC

This page contains thorough information on how to remove Tailscale for Windows. It was developed for Windows by Tailscale Inc.. Open here for more info on Tailscale Inc.. Tailscale is commonly installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Tailscale IPN directory, regulated by the user's choice. Tailscale's entire uninstall command line is C:\Program Files (x86)\Tailscale IPN\Uninstall-Tailscale.exe. tailscale-ipn.exe is the programs's main file and it takes about 11.67 MB (12234272 bytes) on disk.

Tailscale is comprised of the following executables which take 36.73 MB (38510252 bytes) on disk:

• tailscale-ipn.exe (11.67 MB)
• tailscale.exe (10.12 MB)
• tailscaled.exe (14.89 MB)
• Uninstall-Tailscale.exe (49.57 KB)

If you're planning to uninstall Tailscale you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders remaining:

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

Additional registry values that you should clean:

A way to remove Tailscale from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Tailscale is an application by the software company Tailscale Inc.. Sometimes, users want to uninstall this program. • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful program.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on your PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Tailscale or simply click the Search field and type in "Tailscale". If it exists on your system the Tailscale program will be found automatically. Notice that after you select Tailscale in the list of apps, some data about the application is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about Tailscale, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Tailscale.


8. After removing Tailscale, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of Tailscale which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Tailscale using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
