A way to uninstall Tribler from your PC

This page contains detailed information on how to remove Tribler for Windows. It is written by The Tribler Team. Check out here where you can find out more on The Tribler Team. You can read more about about Tribler at https://www.tribler.org. The program is often installed in the C:\Program Files\Tribler directory (same installation drive as Windows). You can remove Tribler by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files\Tribler\Uninstall.exe. Note that you might receive a notification for administrator rights. tribler.exe is the programs's main file and it takes about 8.83 MB (9262110 bytes) on disk.

The following executables are installed beside Tribler. They take about 23.27 MB (24397621 bytes) on disk.

If you are manually uninstalling Tribler we advise you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Tribler

A way to uninstall Tribler with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Tribler is a program by The Tribler Team. Some users try to uninstall it. This is easier said than done because performing this manually takes some experience regarding removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best QUICK action to uninstall Tribler is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your system.

• go to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Tribler or simply click the Search field and type in "Tribler". If it exists on your system the Tribler app will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select Tribler in the list of programs, the following information regarding the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Tribler, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Tribler:

• The web site of the program is: https://www.tribler.org
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Tribler\Uninstall.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Tribler.


8. After uninstalling Tribler, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Tribler which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Tribler using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your Windows PC will remain clean, speedy and able to serve you properly.
