A guide to uninstall Uplay from your system

If you are manually uninstalling Uplay we recommend you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Directories left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Ubisoft\Uplay

The files below were left behind on your disk when you remove Uplay:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Ubisoft\Uplay\Uninstall.lnk
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Ubisoft\Uplay\Uplay.lnk

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\uplay
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Uplay

Registry values that are not removed from your PC:

A way to delete Uplay using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Uplay is a program by Ubisoft. Sometimes, people choose to remove this application. Sometimes this is troublesome because removing this by hand takes some skill regarding Windows internal functioning. The best QUICK approach to remove Uplay is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your PC.

• go to Download Link
• download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs installed on the PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Uplay or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Uplay". If it is installed on your PC the Uplay program will be found automatically. Notice that when you click Uplay in the list of applications, the following information regarding the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding Uplay, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Uplay.


8. After removing Uplay, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Uplay which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Uplay using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
