When you're planning to uninstall VMware Player you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

The files below are left behind on your disk when you remove VMware Player:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\VMware\player.log

Frequently the following registry keys will not be removed:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VMware Player
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\B22161E5448D7B74BB13AD5064086E17
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5E16122B-D844-47B7-BB31-DA054680E671}

Open regedit.exe to delete the registry values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\B22161E5448D7B74BB13AD5064086E17\ProductName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\windows\Installer\{5E16122B-D844-47B7-BB31-DA054680E671}\
