A guide to uninstall VirusTotal from your PC

VirusTotal is a software application. Note that you might be prompted for admin rights. browser_proxy.exe is the VirusTotal's main executable file and it takes approximately 1.01 MB (1054424 bytes) on disk.

A way to uninstall VirusTotal with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VirusTotal is a program by the software company AVG\Browser. Some users decide to erase this program. This is hard because removing this manually takes some know-how related to Windows internal functioning. The best SIMPLE practice to erase VirusTotal is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. 3. Press the General Tools category

5. All the programs existing on your PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate VirusTotal or simply activate the Search field and type in "VirusTotal". If it exists on your system the VirusTotal application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select VirusTotal in the list of apps, the following data about the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about VirusTotal, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the application you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall VirusTotal.

8. After uninstalling VirusTotal, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong VirusTotal which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling VirusTotal using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
