Some files and registry entries are frequently left behind when you remove Vuze.

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall Vuze:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\DOMStore\7RVTY9TY\client.vuze[1].xml
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Vuze.lnk

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.vuze
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/x-vuze
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Vuze

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\DOMStorage\vuze.com
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\8461-7759-5462-8226

Registry values that are not removed from your PC:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Vuze\Azureus.exe.ApplicationCompany
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Vuze\Azureus.exe.FriendlyAppName

How to uninstall Vuze from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Vuze is an application released by Azureus Software, Inc.. Some users decide to erase this application. This is hard because deleting this manually requires some experience related to removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best SIMPLE action to erase Vuze is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your Windows system.

• go to Download Link
• download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs installed on the computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate Vuze or simply click the Search field and type in "Vuze". The Vuze program will be found automatically. When you select Vuze in the list of programs, the following information regarding the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding Vuze, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Vuze:

• The publisher is: http://www.vuze.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Vuze\uninstall.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Vuze.


8. After uninstalling Vuze, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Vuze that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Vuze with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
